Local Transport​

Buses run every 30 minutes to Reading, excluding Sundays. There is a regular train service to Twyford,

with the train station roughly 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Local taxis are also available.

Local Attractions

Whether you would prefer to relax on a boat travelling down the River Thames, shop till you drop or fill your days with adventure and excitement at an amusement park, we have all sorts of attractions within a short distance. 
You can find the country’s oldest theatre within a very short walking distance from the hotel (Kenton Theatre www.kentontheatre.co.uk). The nearby River and Rowing Museum (www.rrm.co.uk), Legoland (www.legoland.co.uk) and Windsor Castle (www.windsor.gov.uk) provide amusement for the children.

On the other hand, the local boat cruises (Thames Boat Cruise www.hobbsofhenley.com), wineries and breweries will provide sophisticated entertainment for all (Chiltern Valley winery and brewery www.chilternvalley.co.uk).

Legoland Windsor Resort

Legoland Windsor Resort, also known as Legoland Windsor, is a child-orientated theme park and resort in Windsor, Berkshire in England, themed around the Lego toy system.

The park opened in 1996 on the former Windsor Safari Park site as the second Legoland after Legoland Billund in Denmark

Windsor Castle

As you approach Windsor, either by road or rail, you can’t fail to be impressed by the sheer size and scale of Windsor Castlestanding majestically on the hill, punctuating the skyline – it’s the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world, The Queen’s favourite weekend home and the jewel in the Royal Borough’s crown.

The castle is open year round even when The Queen is in residence but as it’s a working palace it closes for special private events and functions so always check in advance before making a special journey.

How about taking to the water and viewing Windsor and the Royal Borough from the peace and tranquillity of the River Thames?

20 miles of this beautiful and historic waterway meanders through the Royal Borough, between Hurley and Runnymede, and there are villages and attractions waiting to be discovered such as the Stanley Spencer Gallery in Cookham.

Kenton Theatre

Ballet Theatre UK was founded by Artistic Director, Christopher Moore, and over the last decade has rapidly become one of the UK’s most beloved touring ballet companies.

Touring both nationally and internationally the Company aim to raise awareness of the classical art form within the community by being accessible to people of all ages and walks of life.

Since its foundation in 2008, the Company has created fourteen full-length ballets including critically acclaimed productions of The Snow Queen, Romeo and Juliet and A Christmas Carol.

Henley-on-Thames is renowned for its rowing regattas attracting competitors and visitors from across the country and around the world to the beautiful riverside town. henley's regattas really are a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the Thames and the spectacle of the British at play.
